Nickel
IGE’s target is set at finding Scandinavia's next major nickel deposit. Our highly qualified and experienced exploration team has demonstrated an important ability to generate new high quality exploration projects in Sweden and Norway.
In September 2009, IGE reached an important milestone in the development of its nickel resource base.
A Preliminary Assessments (PA) for IGE’s Rönnbäcken Nickel project demonstrated its potential as one of Europe’s most interesting nickel projects at the moment.
The Preliminary Assessment (NI 43-101 Technical Report) concludes that a base case cash flow analysis of the project provides a net present value of USD 142 million. The findings provide IGE with a solid platform to start negotiations with established industry partners, to secure funding and partnerships for the next steps of the project. The natural next steps include Pre-Feasibility Study and the subsequent Bankable Feasibility Study. IGE commissioned Scott Wilson Roscoe Postle Associates Inc. of Toronto Canada (Scott Wilson RPA) to conduct the independent study.
